Turkey appoints new envoys to Libya, Somalia and Yemen

The Turkish government has appointed new ambassadors to Libya, Somalia and Yemen with a decree published in the Official Gazette yesterday. The decree formally assigned Ali Kemal Aydin to Tripoli. Cemalettin Kani Torun, a physician who has worked in Africa with nongovernmental group Doctors Worldwide, was appointed ambassador to Somalia. Fazli Corman, the number two at Turkey’s representation at the United Nations, became ambassador to Yemen.
