Turkey hails China ties

Turkish Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs Feridun Sinirlioglu met with Chinese State Councilor Dai Bingguo and Deputy Prime Minister Zhang Zhijun yesterday on the sidelines of Mutual Working Group meetings in Beijing. Recalling that the second phase of the working group meetings were set to be held in 20 months, Sinirlioglu said this showed the significance of relations. Zhang said they had exchanged many views with Sinirlioglu and they had agreed on many issues, thus increasing political trust between each other. The two delegations signed an agreement to establish a young diplomats’ exchange mechanism.  Sinirlioglu said the meetings were very productive and beneficial, adding that Turkey attached great importance to relations with China.
