Turkey sents "RASAT" to space

Today is a historic day for Turkey as the country’s first national satellite RASAT will be sent to space. TUBITAK’s Low Earth Orbit observation microsatellite satellite project RASAT -which means observation in Turkish- was funded by State Planning Office. The project started in 2004 and from design to production is is manufactured by Turkish engineers without any foreign assistance. The satellite will launched to space from Yasny Base of Russia.
