Turkey to join Arab League Parliament as observer

Turkey will join the Arab League Parliament as an observer, Murat Mercan, the head of Parliament's Foreign Relations Committee, said after a Turkish-Arab Parliamentarian Dialogue meeting in Syria yesterday. Mercan said the second meeting of the Turkish-Arab Parliamentarian Dialogue would take place in Kuwait and will focus on such issues as the Cyprus problem and ridding the Middle East of nuclear weapons.
