Turkey's foreign trade deficit decreases by 34.7 percent in september
Turkey's foreign trade deficit decreased by 34.7 percent and amounted to $6.83 billion in September. In the January-September period, Turkey's foreign trade deficit shrank by 22.8 percent and amounted to $63.5 billion. Exports have increased by 21 percent in September, 13.7 percent in the January-September period and totaled $113.02 billion for the same period. Turkey's imports decreased by 6.4 percent in September, and thus fell to $19.84 billion. During the January-September period, Turkey's imports shrank by 2.9 percent and slipped to $176.5 billion. In September, Turkey's export of jewelry products made of precious metals increased by 493 percent and reached $1.6 billion. According to a Reuters report published on September 23, Turkey exports its gold to Iran via Dubai.
