Turkish aid group to open hospital in cholera-stricken Haiti
Turkish aid group Kimse Yok Mu (Is Anybody There) is planning to construct a hospital in Haiti, which is now battling a cholera epidemic in the wake of a devastating earthquake earlier this year. The hospital will be constructed in the Croix-des-Bouqets area of the capital Port-au-Prince, where all hospitals were damaged by the earthquake. The hospital will accommodate 46 in-bed patients. Mehmet Ozkara, the group's president, said the hospital's opening ceremony will be attended by Haiti's premier and health and interior ministers.
