Turkish Airlines increases passenger numbers by 25 pct in 8 months

Total number of passengers flying Turkish Airlines (THY) has risen to 31.7 million with an increase of 25 percent between January and August compared to the same period last year. This figure was 26.9 million for the January-July period. According to a statement by the THY's media office, passenger occupancy rate increased 2.5 points in January-August period, reaching 79.8%. Passenger number in January-August period has increased 24.2 percent and 25.1 in domestic and international flights, respectively. The number of flight destinations has also reached 239 cities.
