Turkish Airlines launches direct flights to Malta

Turkish Airlines (THY) has launched direct flights to the Mediterranean island country of Malta. Malta is the 100th country in the Turkish Airlines network, which is the fourth biggest in the world. A press conference was held at the Luqa Airport on the occasion of the first flight to Malta over the weekend, which was attended by Malta's Tourism Minister Karmenu Vella, CEO of Malta International Airport Markus Klaushofer and Turkey's Ambassador to Malta Nihal Cevik. Speaking to reporters, Cevik expressed her gladness over the initiation of direct flights between Istanbul and Malta by THY.
