Turkish pavilion opened by Topbas at MIPIM in Cannes
Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan, as well as Environment and Urbanization Minister Erdogan Bayraktar and Mayor of Istanbul Kadir Topbas will attend the world's largest real estate expo MIPIM in Cannes, France which will run until March 15. Turkish companies will promote their projects to 4,300 international investors and over 20,000 visitors at MIPIM which will be attended by 850 companies throughout the world. Topbas yesterday opened the Turkish pavilion at MIPIM real estate expo, where he said that Turkey has changed to a great extent in the last decade and that Istanbul played an important role in that change. "Metropolitan Municipality of Istanbul has made an investment totaling $34 billion in eight years. Its budget amounts to $4.5 billion this year and Turkey's economic success is also greatly covered by the foreign press. The real estate is a leading sector and it should continue to remain so," Topbas said. Turkey is the guest of honor at this year's MIPIM.
