Turkish professor receives gold medal of honor in legal medicine

The great news came from the 22nd Congress of the International Academy of Legal Medicine which was held last week in Istanbul with the participation of approximately 1,000 forensic science experts. Professor Duarte Nuno Vieira, President of the International Academy of Legal Medicine announced that Turkish Professor Mete Korkut Gulmen has been deemed worthy of the International Academy of Legal Medicine’s Gold Medal of Honor. The medal was presented to Gulmen during the gala dinner by Vieira. Speaking at the award ceremony, Gulmen said that the medal was important to him in terms of young scientists in Turkey. "This medal shows that if we work in a correct manner, we could make great achievements," Gulmen said.
