Turkish psychologist receives order of Merit of Federal Republic of Germany

Psychologist Sema Yilmaz Karasu who has been living in Germany was deemed worthy of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany for special services she has rendered to the German society and state. Karasu was presented the Order of Merit by Christian Hanke, Mayor of Berlin Mitte District, in a ceremony which was held at the Berlin Tiergarten City Hall. Karasu has been working for a center which provides Turkish migrant families with psychological support. Speaking at the ceremony, Karasu stressed the importance of living together without any discrimination and exclusion.
