UK committe head stresses new parliamentary report supports Turkey's EU accession
A new report by the British Parliament's Home Affairs Committee on Turkey's possible accession to the European Union is beneficial, as it supports Ankara's membership bid and aims to provide it with sufficient funds to prevent illegal migration, said committee Chairman Keith Vaz yesterday. "This report supports Turkey's accession to the EU; it is not a manifesto listing what we want Turkey to do," said Vaz. Underlining that he favors Turkey's EU bid, Vaz added, "It is very important for Turkey to focus on the issues it needs to address before its accession to the bloc."
