Upper and bottom halves of the weary Herakles statue reunited

The upper half of the Weary Herakles statue, which was returned from the US to Turkey on Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's plane in September, was reunited with its bottom half in Antalya. The statue was opened to visit in a ceremony yesterday, which was attended by Culture and Tourism Minister Ertugrul Gunay, actor Salih Guney who has initiated a campaign for return of missing part and Professor Haluk Abbasoglu who has found the bottom half of statue in 1980. Speaking at the ceremony, Gunay said that the upper and bottom halves of the statue were reunited finally, as a result of Turkey's insistences.
