Yildiz, Caglayan invite Chinese businessmen to invest in Turkey

Speaking at the Turkish-Chinese Economic and Commercial Cooperation Forum yesterday in Beijing, Economy Minister Zafer Caglayan invited Chinese companies, tradesmen and industrialists to discover economic opportunities in Turkey. Caglayan also gave information on Turkey's new incentive system, reiterating that Turkey and China were the two fastest growing countries worldwide in 2011, at a time when global economy was suffering. Caglayan also said that it was also important for the two countries to make cooperation with the third countries. Energy and Natural Resources Minister Taner Yildiz met with representatives from 15 largest companies in Beijing. Speaking on sidelines of the forum, Liu Tienan, head of Chinese National Energy Administration, guaranteed the security of nuclear power plant to be established in Turkey's northern city of Sinop, adding that there will be no financial shortage in the process of establishing the plant. For his part, Yildiz conveyed Turkey's sensitivity about the security of plant to Tienan. Accordingly, Tienan said that additional security measures have been taken on nuclear power plants which are being operated or constructed, following the Fukushima nuclear disaster which has occurred in Japan.
