Speaking at the Nuclear Energy and Turkey Process Panel yesterday, Energy and Natural Resources Minister Taner Yildiz said that Turkey has been maintaining its determination on nuclear power plants. Stating that Turkey has arrived at the last phase of selecting a firm for the second nuclear power plant that will be constructed in the Black Sea province of Sinop, Yildiz said, "We see particularly that China, Japan and South Korea have approached our demands differently. I can say that the competition between them has accelerated." Yildiz stressed that a final decision on the issue would be made by the end of this month.
