Prime Minister Erdogan awarded by the most prestigious Polish award

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has been deemed worthy of the 'Gold Statue 2012 Special Award' by the Polish Business Center Club (BCC), which is considered the most prestigious award in Poland. Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan received the award on behalf of Erdogan during a ceremony which was organized at Warsaw's National Opera House. Erdogan sent a video message to the ceremony, saying that he believes Turkey and Poland would make major contributions to their regions and the global economy by merging their powers and through more cooperation and more solidarity, and that the two countries would set an example for others to overcome economic crisis. "I would like to thank the president, executives and all members of the BCC for presenting me the Gold Statue 2012 Special Award on behalf of myself, my country and my nation. The friendship, collaboration and cooperation between Poland and Turkey dates back to many years" Erdogan said.
