Amos Yadlin: Mavi Marmara incident a big mistake

 
Amos Yadlin, former Chief of Israeli Defense Intelligence, said that the Mavi Marmara incident had been a big mistake. Speaking to the Anatolia News Agency, Yadlin said that both sides had made mistakes and wished those incidents had not happened at all. In reply to a question whether he would act the same way, if the same things happened today, Yadlin said, "With that experience, those incidents would not occur." A court case is still in place at Istanbul's 7th High Criminal Court against Yadlin and other Israeli army officers over their role in the Mavi Marmara raid which resulted in the death of 9 Turkish civilians.
