Increasing pressure on Syrian administration to abandon violence, Turkey is continuing preparations for potential influx of refugees. Noting that Turkey is permanently in contact with Syria, President Abdullah Gul said, “We are also trying to contribute to change in line with rightful demands of the people. Of course we are taking measures for the worst case. As you know, unfortunately 300 Syrian crossed our border and took refuge in Turkey. In connection with the measures taken they were relocated and settled in prepared stations. We hope that after the events wear off, reform and changes will take place in Syria without shedding blood,”
