Bagis evaluates Nobel Peace Prize awarded to EU

The Istanbul World Forum was held at the Istanbul Congress Center over the weekend, attended by Turkey's Minister of EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis as well. Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the forum, Bagis evaluated the Nobel Peace Prize which was awarded to the EU. "Turkey's perspective on its process for membership to the European Union contributed to the EU receiving the Nobel Peace Prize," Bagis said. Stating that the EU should get the Nobel's message and turn this prize into an opportunity to make justice and equity dominate Turkey's accession talks, Bagis said, "The membership of Turkey is the only process that can globalize the continental peace project."
