Bayraktar visits Pakistani PM

As a part of his official visits in the Pakistani capital Islamabad, Turkish Minister of Environment and Urbanization Erdogan Bayraktar met on Wednesday with Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. Focusing basically on strengthening the bilateral economic and trade relations between Turkey and Pakistan through joint projects and agreements, Sharif reportedly wanted to benefit from successful experiments of Turkey, namely Turkey's Public Housing Program (TOKI) wherein low cost housing facility for the poor families can be provided, while praising the visit and efforts of Turkish Environment Minister Bayraktar to share Turkey's experience in public housing and urban transformation. For his part, Bayraktar stated as follows: "We are ready to share, at Sharif's request, all of Turkey's experience in public housing and urbanization. Our TOKI has realized 500,000 projects in eight and a half years. We hope to strengthen the brotherhood and cooperation between Turkey and Pakistan in our five-year ruling period through a number projects and agreements."
