Ankara has pledged €920 million, a vital financing for new stadiums to be built if Turkey is chosen to host the Euro 2016 European Football Championship. The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) attached a letter of guarantee signed by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to its application, to be submitted next month. The TFF picked nine stadiums in eight cities to host the Euro 2016 matches. These include Istanbul's Ataturk Olympic Stadium and Seyrantepe Turk Telekom Arena, the last currently under construction, and Kayseri's Kadir Has Stadium, as well as stadiums planned for Ankara, Izmir, Konya, Antalya, Bursa and Eskisehir.
