Bush telephones president Gul

US President George W. Bush telephoned President Abdullah Gul yesterday to thank him for his efforts to ease tension between Pakistan and Afghanistan and for his stance on the Iraqi issue. White House spokesperson Gordon Johndroe said that the two leaders also discussed the strong relationship between the US and Turkey.
