Davutoglu holds phone talks with Clinton and Jiechi

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu held separate phone talks with his US counterpart Hillary Clinton and his Chinese counterpart Jang Jiechi yesterday over the latest developments along the Turkish-Syrian border. Clinton told Davutoglu that US was concerned over incidents along the Turkish-Syrian border and that US supported steps which have been taken over the latest incidents in the context of NATO as well as possible steps that could be taken in the future. In a phone talk with Jiechi, Davutoglu briefed him in detail over the Syrian shelling that killed five Turkish civilians in Turkey's southeastern town of Akcakale. Jiechi told Davutoglu that China understood Turkey's concerns over its security and that his country followed the Syrian artillery incident very closely.
