Davutoglu separately meets Barzani and desalegn
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu who is currently in Davos to attend annual meetings of World Economic Forum (WEF) met Massoud Barzani, head of the regional Kurdish administration in the north of Iraq on Thursday. During the meeting, Davutoglu told Barzani that Ankara did not pursue a policy based on ethnic and religious bases and that Turkey would continue dialogue with Iraqi politicians who have a similar policy as Ankara. Davutoglu also expressed sorrow over the bomb attack staged in Tuz Khormato, near Kirkuk, and said that Turkey would launch initiatives to take and treat the wounded Iraqis. During the meeting, Barzani expressed will to further develop relations with Turkey. The condition of Syrian refugees was also discussed in the meeting. Prior to his meeting with Barzani, Davutoglu met with Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn and exchanged opinions about the problems and latest developments in Africa. Reportedly, Davutoglu told Desalegn that Turkey was ready to make all sorts of contributions to resolve the problems in the region. For his part, Desalegn underlined that his country attached importance to its relations and cooperation with Turkey.
