Deputy mayor of Amsterdam in Turkey to boost economic relations with Turkey

Carolien Gehrels, Deputy Mayor of Amsterdam, said yesterday that the amount of trade between the Netherlands and Turkey has tripled in the last decade and that a possible economic bridge between Amsterdam and Istanbul would be beneficial to a great many businesspeople and investors. Gehrels, who is currently in Istanbul on the occasion of the 400th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Netherlands and Turkey, told reporters that they were in Turkey to boost their economic relations with Turkey.
