Speaking to the Star daily, Head of High Islamic Council of Mali Mahmoud Dicko said that they would like to see in their country Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who has previously visited and gave the people a lead in Somali. "We would be honored to host Erdogan as the first prime minister on behalf of the Islamic world to visit Mali," Dicko said. Stating that they have been unable to get sufficient support from the Islamic world with regard to their problems dating back to two years, Dicko said that they supported the French intervention in Mali, which is a very large country with limited and insufficient resources.
