Eurasia military law-enforcement bodies association established
The Eurasia Military Law-Enforcement Bodies Association was established by four Turkic-speaking countries involving Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia. With an agreement which was signed in a conference in Baku on January 25 and attended by Azerbaijani Deputy Interior Minister, Commander of Internal Troops, Lieutenant-General Zakir Hasanov, Turkish Gendarmerie Commander General Bekir Kalyoncu and Commander of Kyrgyz Internal Troops Colonel Sovetbek Arbaev, as well as a delegation from relevant Mongolian bodies. Eurasia Military Law-Enforcement Bodies Association was called TAKM, based on the first letters of participating countries' names. The symbol of the agency was chosen as a horse which occupies a special place in cultures of these countries with four stars on the symbolizing the founding members. Furthermore, the symbolic horse statue to be preserved by Turkey which will remain as the term president until May 2014 was presented to Kalyoncu by Hasanov. The organization which aims at exchange of information and experiences among its members has not been established against any country or institution.
