Athens yesterday called for a European Union-Turkey summit after next year's Turkish general elections, aimed at giving new life to Turkey's accession process. Greek Foreign Ministry spokesman Grigoris Delavekuras told reporters that the summit could provide a new road map for Turkey's EU accession and pick up the sluggish pace of its accession talks. "We want a genuine EU process, not an ambivalent one," he added.
