Gul attends groundbreaking ceremony for new campus of international Turkemn-Turkish university

A groundbreaking ceremony was organized on Thursday for International Turkmen-Turkish University's new campus in Ashgabat, attended by President Abdullah Gul and his Turkmen counterpart Gurbangulu Berdimuhamedov. Speaking at the ceremony, Gul said that their forefathers have established great civilizations in history through such great men as Ulug Bey, Kasgarlı Mahmut and Mahtumkulu and expressed hope that this university will raise graduates like these figures.  As part of his official visit to Turkmenistan, Gul was also given an honorary doctorate by the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management.
