Gul meets with Georgian counterpart

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili was welcomed by President Abdullah Gulon Tuesday with a ceremony at the Cankaya Presidential Palace. Afterwards, Gul and Saakashvili had a tete-a-tete and Gul hosted a working luncheon for him. Following his meeting with Gul, Saakashvili told reporters that he has held meetings with Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan in a very warm and sincere environment. "Erdogan is one of the most prominent leaders of the world, not just the region, in the past decade. From my personal point of view, there was not such a strong leader globally in Turkey since Mustafa Kemal Ataturk," Saakashvili said.
