President Abdullah Gul welcomed Chairman of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidential Council Nebojsa Radmanovic, the council members Zeljko Komsic and Bakir Izetbegovic, as well as Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic with a ceremony at the Presidential Palace. Speaking at the ceremony, Gul said, "We have seen considerable developments in the region since the dark times of the notorious war from 1992 to 1995 in the Balkans as well as that of 1999 in Kosovo. I am happy to say that the leaders of the Balkan countries have espoused a vision that they should leave behind the agonies and negative influences of the past, thus paving the way for a mental transformation from the past to a brighter future. I hereby would like to express my appreciation for the Serbian administration for its sagacity, resoluteness and sincerity in this regard." Stating that the trilateral summit process, which they launched in Istanbul in April 2010, has reached a stronger and more comprehensive stage, Gul said that the existing dialogue and cooperation between the parties have been consolidated through this process.  Declaring the theme of summit as "Building the Future Together," Gul said they would exchange views on how they can carry the trilateral cooperation between the three countries to the future and new horizons.
