Gul thanks world leaders

President Abdullah Gul thanked all heads of state who have expressed their condolences and feelings of solidarity with Turkey as a result of the 7.2-magnitude earthquake which has hit eastern Turkey on Sunday. "I would like to extend my thanks to all heads of states who have called by phone and shared our sorrow, stated solidarity and offered assistance," Gul said in a written statement yesterday.
