In a surprise move, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu is expected today to meet with acting Greek Foreign Minister Dimitris Droutsas. According to diplomatic sources, the two had spoken earlier this week about having such a meeting. On the heels of a gathering of his colleagues from Turkic-speaking countries in the Aegean resort town of Bodrum, Davutoglu yesterday traveled to the nearby Greek island of Rhodes to see Droutsas. Their talks are expected to focus on applying recent cooperation agreements as well as issues related to the Aegean and Cyprus. It is not clear whether or not Davutoglu will meet with members of the Turkish minority living on Rhodes.
