Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon has told Israel Radio that he hopes Turkey is not seriously considering severing ties with Tel Aviv if Israel doesn't apologize for Mavi Marmara. "We should hope that logic and interests will triumph in Ankara so it will be possible to get Turkish-Israeli relations back on track," Ayalon said in the interview Tuesday morning. He also said he was not afraid of any threats and added that Israel would respond in kind to any actions. "If there won’t be a Turkish ambassador in Israel, there won’t be an Israeli ambassador in Turkey." Ayalon also said they will not bow to Turkish whims and added that there is no reason to apologize.
