Kilic pays visit of courtesy to OIC President

Youth and Sports Minister Suat Kilic, along with Chairman of Turkish National Olympics Committee Ugur Erdener and Turkish Ambassador to Bern Tanju Sumer paid a visit of courtesy to President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Jacques Rogge in Lausanne, Switzerland on Wednesday. During the meeting, Kilic delivered a message to Rogge from Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan who said, "We are a candidate for the fifth time and we are ready for making all of the moves to ensure that Istanbul hosts the Olympics and Paralympics Games in line codes of conduct. All of the possibilities, including the human resources and financing, have been allocated to the use of Istanbul. We consider Istanbul's hosting the Olympics as a new move towards peace and civilization in our region."  In his second message, Erdogan demanded that the wrestling is not excluded from the 2020 Olympic Games. As part of his visit, Kilic said that he has told Rogge that Turkey has mobilized all of its possibilities so that Istanbul could host the 2020 Summer Games and Paralympics Games.
