Memorial ceremony of three slain Kurdish militants held in Diyarbakir
The memorial ceremony of the three slain Kurdish militants who belonged to the PKK, listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the US and EU, was held yesterday in Diyarbakir, where hopes for peace and mourning were dominant. Three women, Sakine Cansiz, Fidan Dogan and Leyla Soylemez, were shot dead at the Kurdistan Information Bureau in Paris last week. Their bodies were transferred to Turkey, their home country, on Wednesday for burial and received at the airport with high security.
