A statement by the Russian Gazprom on Monday said that the natural gas sent to Turkey via Blue Stream pipeline was increased to maximum levels. Gazprom spokesman Sergei Kupriyanov said that the increase in the consignment started on October 19, following the attack on East Anatolia pipeline in Turkey. "The Iranian gas was cut completely after the attack and Turkish Petroleum Pipeline Corporation (BOTAS) asked Gazprom to increase the daily consignment to 48 million cubic meters, and thus the natural gas sent to Turkey via Blue Stream pipeline was increased to maximum levels for the last four days on the request of Turkey," Kupriyanov added.
