It will be interesting to see how Muslim-majority Turkey "deals with democratic principles," according to the Danish parliamentarian set to lead the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe Parliamentary Assembly's (OSCE-PA) first election-observation mission to Turkey. Pia Christmas-Moller will be heading up an OSCE-PA delegation to observe general elections set for Sunday. "Since you [Turkey] are the largest Muslim-majority democracy in the world, it will be interesting for us to observe how you deal with the democratic principles," Christmas-Moller said. "We think Turkey can be a strong, positive model for the other countries in the region," she said, adding that Turkey is an important, dynamic country.
