PM Erdogan: Rabaa sign has become a global sign against injustice
Addressing his ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) in Ankara's Kizilcahamam district on Sunday, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan referred to the events in Egypt, saying what was witnessed was a brother killing a brother and noted that the Rabaa sign has become a global sign that says "stop" to injustice in every corner of the world. "It is a sign of saying no to oppression, deaths, massacres and coups all over the world," Erdogan said. He reiterated that Turkey would continue to raise its voice for world's oppressed people regardless of their faith, ethnicity, language, color and religion and that Turkey would not be on side of cruelty. Also touching upon the events in Syria, Erdogan said more than 130,000 people have died during clashes lasting for two years in Syria and over seven million people had to leave their homes. Adding that over 600,000 Syrian refugees sheltered in Turkey, Erdogan noted that Turkey would not remain silent against violent acts in Syria.
