Speaking at the 2nd World Political Forum in Istanbul yesterday, Lex Rieffel of the Brooking Institution stated that either the IMF or the World Bank should be moved from Washington. Rieffel said that it would be better to move the World Bank to Turkey, which might be the most appropriate location. Rieffel stated that these two headquarters should be separated, because their adjacent location weakened their efficiency.
