Ricciardone: "Door for diplomacy must remain open"

At the end of a meeting which was held in Ankara yesterday on the occasion of arrival of 60 lecturers from the US as part of the protocol signed between the Higher Education Council (YOK) and Fulbright, US Ambassador to Turkey Francis J. Ricciardone evaluated the latest situation between Turkey and Israel. Ricciardone said that he wants ties between Turkey and Israel to normalize as soon as possible, saying, “The door for diplomacy must remain open.” He added that Turkish-Israeli relations were critically important in order to ensure stability in the region.
