Three Turkish nationals have gone missing on a dangerous highway south of the Afghan capital Kabul and may have been kidnapped, police said yesterday. The trio, believed to be construction engineers, were travelling from the eastern province of Paktia to Kabul on Monday when they disappeared in Logar, the provincial police chief said. Their car was found abandoned near Puli Alam, the capital town of Logar, on Tuesday, Ghulam Sakhi Roughliwanai said. “They were travelling along the Kabul-Gardez road. In an area near Puli Alam they have gone missing. We don't know where they are and we don't know if they have been kidnapped,” he told. Mohammad Jan Abed, criminal investigation police chief of Logar, said he believed that the men had been kidnapped.
