Turkey expects to get back rest of Sion Treasure

Antalya Museum enjoying Heracles Statue brought from Boston now expects other parts of Sion Treasure which is displayed at Dumbarton Byzantine Institute. Antalya Museum where only 11500 of its 60000 registered artifacts are displayed expects to get back Sion Treasure from the U.S.  Antalya Museum's Director Mustafa Demirel said that they had had opportunity to visit large museums in the U.S during the returning process of "Weary Heracles. There are collections from Burdur and Antalya in Paul Getty Museum. However, rest of Sion Treasure which is displayed in Institute of Dumbarton Oaks Byzantine Studies is more important for us. I hope we will take it back." said Demirel. Sion Treasure which was found by a peasant at the small town of Kumluca (ancient Corydalla) includes some silver items like Bible covers, candlesticks.
