Turkey to host fourth round of Iran nuclears ropund of Iran nuclears talks
European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton announced yesterday that early next year Istanbul will host the fourth round of nuclear talks between Iran and six world powers. Ashton telephoned Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu to tell him of their decision, the Foreign Ministry said yesterday. Ashton told Davutoglu that meetings held this week between Iran and the P5+1 (the permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany ) in Geneva "proceeded in a positive environment; Turkey 's contributions to the process were appreciated; and that they agreed to hold the next meeting in Turkey in late January," the ministry said. In response, Davutoglu praised the way the talks began in "a constructive framework," adding that Turkey will continue working for global and regional peace.
