Turkey's Family and Social Policies Minister Fatma Sahin has traveled to the Austrian capital city of Vienna on Thursday in order to investigate the method used by non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to fight violence against women and children on site. As part of his contacts, Sahin firstly visited an intervention center which was developed by Austria in order to prevent violence against women, and received a detailed briefing on how a female victim of violence was protected there. Afterwards, Sahin and the accompanying delegation conducted a survey at an atelier for the disabled. Sahin said that they would implement a similar model in Turkey.
