Turkish defense exports expected to weather mideast uprising

As popular uprisings sweep through the Middle East and North Africa , Turkey 's arms trade with the region will continue unabated, according to Ankara 's export planners. Turkey 's arms exports in 2009 totaled $832 million, according to the country's procurement office. The agency expects up to $1.5 billion in defense exports this year.
