Turkish General Staff denies claims German Patriot troops mistreated
Turkish General Staff has denied claims that German troops which have been sent to operate Patriot batteries near Turkey's Syrian border are treated badly by the Turkish soldiers they are working with. A statement released by the General Staff on Sunday said that the German Armed Forces has not conveyed any complaints or demands to the Turkish side over claims that the German troops have been mistreated by their Turkish colleagues. In response to allegations that mobile toilets are filthy, the statement noted that the cleanup of toilets is up to German troops and the Turkish side provided the necessary support with regard to coordination and communication if they wished to hire janitors.
