More than 300 Turkish citizens fleeing the chaos in the aftermath of the widespread protests that resulted in the ousting of Tunisia's long-time president returned home over the weekend. Some 333 Turks, including eight babies, arrived at Istanbul Ataturk Airport on a Boeing 777 dispatched to Tunis by the Foreign Ministry to evacuate Turkish nationals who wanted to return home. Turkey's Ambassador to Tunisia Akin Algan saw off the passengers at the airport, some one-third of the 1,000 Turkish citizens living in Tunisia. "All of those who want to leave Tunisia will be departing today, no one will be left behind, all will arrive home today," Algan was quoted as saying before the departure of the Turkish Airlines (THY) plane.
