Ulsoy receives TUBİTAK special award

Galip Ulsoy, a distinguished professor of mechanical engineering at the University of Michigan and a former advisor to the White House, has received special award of the Scientific and Technological Research Foundation of Turkey (TUBITAK) for Turkish researchers overseas. Ulsoy, who has made significant contributions in the development of unmanned terrain vehicles and has received the support of the US military, has received the TUBITAK award for his work on dynamic systems and automatically controlled manufacturing and automotive systems applications. Stating that he was very happy to have been awarded, Ulsoy said that he would be especially honored to receive the award from President Abdullah Gul in December.
