UN special envoy Kofi Annan to visit Turkey

UN-Arab League special envoy on Syria Kofi Annan yesterday phoned Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and told him that he would like to visit Turkey as part of his tour of regional countries. Annan and Davutoglu also discussed the latest situation in Syria on the phone, diplomatic sources said. Reportedly, Davutoglu said to Annan Turkey would welcome his visit. Former UN Secretary-General Annan is expected to travel to Turkey after his key talks in Damascus on Saturday.
